How do Virtual Tech Camps work?

How do Virtual Tech Camps work?

Our weeklong Virtual Tech Camps run Monday through Friday and feature engaging, live instruction and small-group, collaborative learning. Each day includes a 2 hour lesson plus 2 hours of self-guided project development which can be completed any time of day. During their independent work time, our students have access to curriculum to guide them through additional concepts.

Once registered, 10 days before your session starts we will send you an email to outline how to set up software needed for the course and a link to install Zoom. If you register less than 10 days before the session starts, you will receive this e-mail immediately. If you do not receive an email you can log into  My Account and click on “Go Now” next to the line titled “Pre-Session Installation”.

A Zoom link will be emailed to you by noon PT the Sunday before camp starts (email notifications come from do-not-reply@idtechnotifications.com). You can also find the link in My Account on Sunday afternoon.

To recap, here’s what to expect:

  • Structured, weeklong sessions available in multiple time zones (5 consecutive days, Monday-Friday)
  • 5 students average per instructor, blending personalized learning and time to socialize with new friends
  • A balanced schedule including 2 hours of live instruction + 2 hours of self-paced project development per day
  • All the magic of camp including games, challenges, and legendary iD traditions you can't find anywhere else!
